If you are someo one who loves rustic stays over more modern ones, who rather lives in a vernacular and local construction than a place which has a more global appeal then you and I both like to add elements of character in our travel, and you must stay connected with my socials as I bet the content herer will really resonate and give you a lot of joy.

In this blog also I present to you a beautiful, rustic, comfortable, simple, well located wooden homestay/hotel in Pahalgam. I am calling it a homestay as that is the feel of the place, you have a staff to take care of the needs but you don't have the hotel 24/7 kitchen, lavish and quick room service etc, and I call it a hotel because there is no family that you will be staying with, instead this place is run by an individual and his team.

The look and feel of this wooden accommodation in Pahalgam is extremely localised, just like a traditional home in the mountains would be: wooded walls, wooden floors, low wooden ceiling, Kashmiri embroidered upholstery, basic toilet, pretty much gives it a feel of a home in Pahalgam. There is also a beautiful garden just the right size for you and your family to sit and eat breakfast in the Sun.

The sleep quality is comfortable, but do keep in mind a wooden house squeals a bit when people are walking around and also does not have the most sound proof walls. But if you are with a group of mature individuals or travelers who like staying away from the noise, then you are sorted.

The best bit about this cute homestay is the tributary of the river Lidder which flows right in front of it. Catching theSun rise is really a beautiful experience in the vicinity. Waking up along with the locals and the horse owners who are readying their animals for the day’s work(the tourist use them to go to the view points in Pahalgam) .

The sound of the river even greets you while you are sitting inside the homestay Brown palace Pahalgam.

Definitely try the ready made kawah which is offered in the property and definitely eat the awesome food cooked by the cook, which may not be the most authentic but definitely gives the taste of well cooked home food.
